Spiced Pears with Honey

Serves 4

Ingredients

4 pears
Half a tps cinnamon
Half a tps cloves

Half a tps cardamom or star anise
Zest from one lemon
2 tbps raw honey

Method

Preheat the oven to 180ºC. 
 

Cut pears in halves.
 

Coat the bottom of the dish with a little bit of water so that they don’t stick.
 

Sprinkle the pears with spices and bake until tender (15-25 minutes).
 

Take them out of the oven, let them cool for 5 minutes and sprinkle with honey and fresh lemon zest.
 

Serve plain, with ice cream, or a dollop of cream.
